A new flat must be made to feel like a new home, obligatory spending has therefore taken place. The dressing table has been my favorite find of all! The base bought at a car boot sale and the beautiful foldout mirror at Snoopers Paradise. When Ladies Lunch

Lunchtime purchases are the ultimate bank balance disaster, but this lunchtime I was clever and focused - tan leather slippers and a peplum blouse in my favourite shade of rose in the TOPSHOP sale. Check it out.

Upper Street Diaries

It is well known that Upper Street in Angel, Islington does not fall short on the restaurant and bar front. With this in mind, we have taken it upon ourselves to try as many of them as possible.

Each time we try a new one I will make sure to review it for Rose Tinted. Today is the turn of Le Mercury.

I start with Le Mercury, because it is already a firm Favourite. The french restaurant has a great atmosphere as soon as you enter, very intimate and romantic, with candles on every table. As for the food, it is fantastic. My favourite main is the duck breast, on a bed of savoy cabbage and garlic mash potatoes. All of the main courses are under £9.00. You can get your self a three course meal for £15. Great value for such a good standard.

Cloud Atlas

For those who have read the book this film is long awaited, greatly anticipated and has filled us readers with much apprehension. It is a wonderful book by author David Mitchell. Each of the five stories in the book are so very detailed and so cleverly interwoven it has been hard to imagine how it will translate for the big screen.

The extended trailer is now available to watch and it does look like it is going to be an extremely epic piece of cinema, with a who's who of Hollywood making up the cast it is set to be a block buster. I am still holding out hope, well as much as you can for a favourite book adapted to film. They never quite meet the imaginations expectations, but we shall see.

Cat Fetish

Seeing as I verge on the edge of Crazy Cat Lady, there are some great pieces out there at the moment feeding this obsession. As soon as Alexa Chung was spotted in them, I could not wait to own some of the Charlotte Olympia cat flats, that was until I realised they would set me back around £500.00. I was very pleased to then stumble across the fantastic replica for only £20.00 when browsing in Linzi Shoes.

Victoria Beckham has also gone mad for cats. She has released a range with some great dresses and a wonderful scarf, all plastered in our feline friends. It is a great trend, lets hope more designers pick up on it!
