Sir John Soane Museum

Stuck for something cheap to do to in London this weekend, then hop on over to the Sir John Soane Museum. It is a mishmash of wonderful treasures and it is safe to say Sir John Soane really knew how to decorate a home. The 19th Century architect knocked down and re-built three terrace houses to house his home-made museum. He constantly remodeled the houses and this is evident as you make your way through the maze of art and ancient artifacts  including an Ancient Egyptian Tomb to name one. The best thing is, it is completely free entry and only a short walk from Holborn underground station.
